I have made some small changes to my double page spread. I have added a small box to the corner of the 'poster' as after doing some research I found that most pop magazines include the name of the artist on the corner of the page/picture.
I have made the model on the front cover bigger so that it fills the page. Also I have added more text to the bubble to make the front cover looks as if there is more going on.
This is the progress of my contents page. As you can see I have changed the stories so that they are catagorised them into features, gossip, fashion and competitions.
This is the progress I have made with my music magazine. I have added an extra model and extra cover lines to make it look busier and more like a pop magazine. I have also changed to colours of the banner as I felt that there was too much blue on the page. I feel that the colour change also matches my genre better. I have added a stroke around the second model to make her stand out more on the page. After doing some research I found that most pop magazines have a box or a stroke around the photo.
I have downloaded and used this font throughout my magazine. I prefer this font to my previous one as it fits the genre better. I downloaded it from dafont.com.
I have decided to change the layout of my contents page so that it is similar to contents page 1 as I feel it matches my theme better. Contents page 2's layout would not be suitable for my magazine.
This is the current progress of my cover. I have added text to the bubble and added a make-up section to make the cover look busier and more like a pop magazine.
I have decided to use 1 model on my double page spread instead of 2 as I feel that this is more appropriate to the genre as you wouldn't normally find 2 people in a girl band. The model I have chosen to feature is more suited to my magazine and the genre. I am going to use the other model on the contents page as a separate artist. I have also changed the fonts to match my new front cover and contents page.
