We invited Britains most recent pop sensations Shannon and Arysa in for an indepth chat about how it felt to be awarded single of the year at the music awards and also how it felt to be nomiated for a Brit award.
So girls we know a lot about your most recent events but we want to know where it all started?
Shannon: Well me and Arysa were very good friends when we were younger because we lived quite close to eachother. We were always putting on shows for people and entertaining
Arysa: We decided to upload a video to youtbue like everyother aspiring artist does and we got an amazing response so we continued and eventually got notcied by our manager Scott.
How did it feel when you were awarded with fastest selling single of the year at the music awards?
Arysa: We were so greatful for the sucess of the single and how much people liked it
Shannon: It was a huge shock we never expected it to get in the top 5 let alone win fastest selling single of the year
Speaking of awards we hear that your nominated for a brit award for ‘ Best British Breakthrough Act’ how do you differ from your competiton?
Shannon: Well we’re up against some amazing talents such as Tom Odell and The Vamps so just to be nominated is an acheievment
Arysa: Yeah I guess that us only being known for short ammount of time people are still getting to know us and know our music
We heard a little rumour that you were caught sneaking out of the studio after a meeting with Justin Bieber, can you confirm anything about that?
Shannon: Well theres actually nothing to comfirm, it was all a big misunderstanding
Arysa: We acutally went to the studio to see where we would be recording next and Justin was there and we had a chat and we hung out but that was it.
Shannon: He was really sweet and he told us he loved the single which was a bonus [laughs]
Are there any disadvantages or downsides to being ‘Britains newest pop sensations’?
Shannon: Not really, usually people would say not getting to see their families and friends but they come to all our shows and we get to see them as much as possible
Arysa: Yeah my mum practically lives on our tour bus at the minuet, she hates being away from me for too long [laughs]
So family is a big important part of your lives?
Arysa: Yeah family is everything to us, that’s who will support us no matter what and we will never forget where we come from no matter how famous or big we get
Shannon: Yeah, family will always be there no matter what happens
Who would you like to work with or collaborate with?
Shannon: Well i would love to do an acoustic session with Olly Murs as I think his voice is amazing
Arysa: Probably Drake or Chris Brown, they’re my favourites
Will there be a tour or an album coming out soon?
Shannon: There’s still a lot more to come from me and Arysa so just keep watching out for what were going to do next!
