Comparing my model and magazine to these real life magazines you can see that she is pulling similar poses and facial expressions. All of the magazines have medium close-ups shots and the models are pulling non-serious/overly posed expressions which is similar to my magazine. As the genre is pop and the target audience for pop magazines is young teens this shows that the magazine is fun and made for people that age. If the models had serious faces and the photos were close-up's It may make the audience feel intimidated and as if the magazine isn't the pop genre.
The make-up in the magazines is overly done with lots of bright colours and bright lipstick and it is clear that they are wearing it. In the We Love Pop examples all of the artists/models are a lot older than the one I used which is why I decided not to use too much make up. The model on my cover looks more innocent and younger because she is not too dressed up and over done. This can engage with the target audience more as they may feel that because she looks more innocent she is more their age and can relate to her more.
This is a video of one of the members of my audience telling me what the representations of my model are. From this response I can see that I have got it right.
